Clean edges, flanking plantings, and simple lighting make the entry sequence feel more intentional.
Your driveway is one of the widest surfaces guests see, so small landscaping choices around it have outsized impact.
Keep turf or bed edges crisp along the pavement, and use low plantings or ornamental grasses to soften long stretches of hardscape without blocking sight lines. Where space allows, a simple planting pocket near the garage or entry can break up a blank expanse.
If the surface itself is stained or cracked, landscaping cannot hide everything — but clean borders and healthy flanking beds make even an older driveway look better maintained.
